Olympic High School

Work is progressing on time and on budget at our school construction sites. We recently celebrated the opening of our new Barker Creek Community School, and we’re planning a grand opening celebration for our Operations Service Center.

CK High & Middle Schools

Status: Construction crews have poured parts of the building foundation. The initial paving for the roadway around the schools is complete. Crews are readying land on the north of campus for tennis courts.
What’s next: Foundation work continues through fall.

Olympic High School

Status: Crews have cleared demolition debris and foundations for the new two-story core. The work is about 30 percent complete.
What’s next: Crews will continue to work on the foundation and concrete slabs. 

Klahowya Secondary School

Status: Steel beams outline the new auxiliary gym. Foundation work on the new classroom wing has started. Sports teams are using the new synthetic turf field and rubber track.
What’s next: Walls will go up soon around the auxiliary gym.

Safety & Security Improvements

Status: Architects finalized designs for secure entryways for Ridgetop, Silver Ridge and Emerald Heights. 
What’s next: We will request bids to construct the entryways and set a construction timeline. 

Operations Service Center

Status: Transportation, Food Service and Warehouse staff have been working in the building since late August. Crews are putting on finishing touches.
What’s next: We’ll celebrate the grand opening of the building. Stay tuned for details.
