Summer Programs
We offer several options for students who want to learn more over the summer or catch up on credits. 

Summer Academy

Summer Academy serves students in grades 5-12. Courses help broaden learning through exploration, skill maintenance/ enhancement and review. 

Fairview Middle School will host middle school support and high school credit recovery classes. High school students also have online/ independent study options for credit recovery and initial credit.  

Buses to Fairview will be provided from most of our elementary schools, except Cottonwood. Please let us know when you register if you will need transportation.

CTE Summer Satellite Academy

Students enjoy a health CTE classStudents enrolling in high school for the 2018-19 school year can take a tuition-free, 0.5 credit career and technical education class during the summer.

Classes are offered in partnership with WestSound Technical Skills Center. Classes are July 16 to Aug. 3, 2018.  8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Classes are held at Fairview Middle School. Transportation will be available from CKSD elementary schools.

Available courses include:

  • Business English
  • Food Science
  • Health
  • 2D Video Game Design
  • Aviation Classroom Experience
  • Robotics 1

2018 STEM Camps

STEM Camps are open to current Central Kitsap School  District students in grades 4-7. Prior knowledge and skills are  NOT required in order to participate in our STEM Camps. All we ask is that you arrive each day with a curious mind, a positive attitude, and a lunch from home. Confirmation of registration will be sent via email by May 7.

If you've been confirmed, you can pay online.

2018 camps are:

  • July 9 – 13 for students in grades 6 or 7
  • July 16 – 20 for students in grades 6 or 7
  • July 23 – 27 for students in grades 4 or 5
  • July 30 – Aug. 3 for students in grades 4 or 5
