Seventh and eighth grade students can earn high school credits by taking high school level courses in their school or by attending classes at one of our high schools. Some courses last a semester while others last a full school year.

What If My Child Doesn’t Do Well in a Jump Start Course?
We recommend that you carefully consider adding Jump Start credits to your child’s transcript if your child earned less than an “A.” You can wait until your child’s junior year in high school before adding them. We cannot remove Jump Start credits from a transcript once added, and grades will affect your child’s overall grade point average.
