We were excited to welcome current and former students and staff, families, and other special guests to Fairview Middle School on October 29 for a ribbon cutting and open house celebrating the school’s completion.
While students have been learning in the new building since last fall, the event marked the finishing touches to the campus, including a renovated gymnasium, upgraded athletic fields, and expanded parking lots. Guests enjoyed self-guided tours, a scavenger hunt and the chance to reconnect with familiar faces and see the transformation in person. They were also invited to take “a piece of Fairview” with them, after district CTE staff designed and produced small wooden mementos made from reclaimed pieces of the school’s new gym floor.
Speakers shared their appreciation for the many people who helped bring the project to life, from the hopes shared by students and families at the groundbreaking to the teamwork of architects, contractors, and Capital Projects staff who turned those hopes into reality.
