Digital Citizenship
Digital Citizenship
Our kids are connected to the digital world more than ever these days. Email, texting, social media, etc. — how can we, as parents and educators, keep up with it all?
Our district has made digital citizenship education a priority for staff and students. We believe that a joint effort between parents and teachers is a valuable way to support students in gaining the 21st century skills they need. We use curricula provided by Common Sense Media, a nationally-recognized, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization with resources for schools and families, and hope that you will take time to explore their parent/family resources.
Age-appropriate lessons are provided through library and classroom instruction for CK students. Lessons are organized by age and around eight major topics. Find out more about those topics and the sequence in which they're taught at Common Sense Media.
