Summer Programs

We offer several options for students who want to learn more over the summer or catch up on credits. Scroll down or jump to Career & Technical Summer Satellite Academy (grades 8-12) or STEM Camps (grades 4-7)

Online Summer Academy 

computerStudents can begin online courses as early as June 1. All courses must be completed by Aug. 2. Students can get help in-person from teachers from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 8 to Aug. 1at Ridgetop Middle School.

Students currently in grades 5-7 may enroll in a physical education, math or ELA course. 

Students currently in grades 8-12 can earn 0.5 initial or recovery credits per course. They may enroll in a second course if they complete their first course by July 15. Students are limited to two courses. Courses offered are:

  • English
  • Health
  • Math
  • Physical Education
  • Science
  • Social Studies
  • World Languages

Tuition for students currently in:

  • Grades 5–7: $100
  • Grades 8-10: FREE 
  • Grades 11–12:  $100

If your child finishes their first course by July 15, they can sign up for a second course at no additional cost. Students are limited to two courses.

Scholarships are available to students who qualify for free or reduced lunches or Title VI Native American Education support. Tuition for students who qualify are:

  • Title VI: $90
  • Reduced lunch: $60
  • Free lunch: $40

Register & Pay

You must pay in full before you can register. Keep your payment receipt. You will need it to register. By June 1, students will receive emails with a link, username and password. Registration closes at noon, Friday, July 12.


CTE Summer Satellite Academy

students cookingCK Schools, in partnership with West Sound Technical Skills Center, offers five career and technical education courses for FREE! Students can earn 0.5 credits in three weeks. The courses are available to students who will enroll in grades 9-12 in the coming school year.

Students can choose one of the following courses:

  • Business English
  • Food Science
  • Health
  • 2D Video Game Design
  • Intro to Engineering Design

Bottle rocket launchSTEM Camps are open to CK Schools students currently in grades 4-7. Prior knowledge and skills are NOT required in order to participate in our STEM camps. All we ask is that you arrive each day with a curious mind, a positive attitude and a lunch from home. 

STEM Camps will be held at Ridgetop Middle School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily (M-F). Sessions are:

  • July 8–12 (for students currently in grades 4 or 5)
  • July 15–19 (for students currently in grades 4 or 5)
  • July 22–26 (for students currently in grades 6 or 7)
  • July 29–Aug.2 (for students currently in grades 6 or 7)

Cost per STEM camp session is $50, which we'll ask you to pay only after confirmation of enrollment. Cost for students who qualify for reduced lunch is $20. Cost for students who qualify for free lunch is $10.
