CK campus gym

A lot of concrete is visible at our school construction sites. Work is on time and moving fast! On Dec. 8, we’ll host a grand opening celebration for our Operations Service Center.

Klahowya

Status: A scoreboard was installed on the field. Sections of the new classroom wing are being walled in, and work is finishing up on new locker rooms.

What’s next: Crews will focus most of their work on the classroom side in preparation for a winter opening of the food and consumer sciences classroom.

Status: The footprint of the school is becoming visible as foundation work continues. Crews are laying pipe for utilities, including under-slab plumbing for the kitchen and first floor restrooms.   

What’s next: Steel columns will begin to rise over winter break.

Olympic High

Status: Foundation work is nearly halfway done. A masonry wall has risen block by block along a ramp that will connect the gym and commons. Walls for a CTE lab at the rear of the building are up. 

What’s next: More concrete will be poured, and we’ll prepare to get steel beams onsite!

Safety Updates

Status: We’ve been working with architects to refine designs for entry systems. We’re working with architects on details and documents to prepare for construction of three school entryways.

What’s next: We’ll request bids this winter for projects at Emerald Heights, Silver Ridge and Ridgetop.

Status: Science kits have moved from the Jenne-Wright Administration Center gym to OSC. 
 
What’s next: About a year after breaking ground, we’re celebrating a grand opening on Dec. 8! Library Services Center and textbooks will move over in December.
