What You’ll Need to Apply


  • We require at least two references from former supervisors, if possible.

  • References are included in future applications for two years (references cannot be deleted during this time).

  • The reference section will remain incomplete until we receive at least two responses.

Cover Letters

You’ll need one general letter for all the positions for which you want to be considered.

Criminal Background Check

Washington state law requires all new and rehired employees to submit to a criminal background check. Your fingerprints will be submitted to the Washington State Patrol and FBI.

If you do not have current fingerprint clearance through the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) must go to Olympic Educational Service District to complete a criminal background check before the first day of work. This requirement also extends to current substitute employees who are hired into non-substitute positions.

You will need to pay $75 at the time your fingerprints are taken.  

Employment Eligibility Verification

Federal law requires all new employees to complete an I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification Form. You’ll also need to provide proof that you’re authorized to work in the United States. Examples of proof include documentation such as a current U.S. passport alone or a combination of your driver’s license and either an original Social Security card or certified birth certificate.
