Roof work on Klahowya Grandstands

Over winter break, we finished entryway construction at Cottonwood. This was the last entryway construction project in our effort to make ALL our schools more secure! Now, we’re focused on gearing up for more construction and critical repair work this spring and summer and planning for playground updates.

Safety & Security

Cottonwood office

Complete! Cottonwood’s new addition and secure entrance was open for our first school day in January!

CK Admin/Silverdale Library

Status: Construction permits were submitted to the county for review.

Next: Once permits are approved, we will request bids for construction.

Seabeck/Old CK High Demolition

Debris cleared from demolition of Seabeck

Status: Demolition of Seabeck is complete. Abatement of the old CK High’s interior continues.  

Next: At the old CK High, crews will start external demolition activities in February. We are making a plan to distribute bricks from the old CK High.

Klahowya Secondary

Roofing work on Klahowya grandstand

Status: Athletics sponsor Integrity Roofing & Construction began work on the grandstand roof during winter break.

Next: Weather permitting, roof work will continue.

Olympic High, Phase 2

Classroom and gym areas

Status: The school board approved detailed design development documents. Permits were submitted to the county for review.

Next: Construction documents, needed for bidding, are in the works.

Status: Designs nearly complete for HVAC improvements at Cougar Valley, Green Mountain, Ridgetop and Silver Ridge.

Next: We will request bids in February.
