Silverdale Elementary

Status: Foundation was laid, and the walls—and even some cabinets—are up in the new -classroom wing.   

What’s next: Crews are preparing the interior of the wing. Fifth grade classrooms will begin moving in once construction wraps up in November.   

Safety & Security Improvements

Status: We’re reviewing new bids for work at Brownsville, Esquire Hills, PineCrest and Woodlands. Final design is in the works for Clear Creek, Cougar Valley, Green Mountain, Hawk, Fairview and Cottonwood.

What’s next: We’ll request bids to construct several more secure entrances. We expect work to begin at Brownsville, Esquire Hills, PineCrest and Woodlands late this fall. 

Klahowya Secondary

Status: We cut the ribbon on the additions and students are learning in their new classrooms. Grandstand designs are complete.

What’s next: Some landscaping and exterior work continues. We’re planning for grandstand installation this fall. 

Olympic High

Status: Major construction on the second floor classrooms is complete! This allows us to install furniture and do other work to ready the rooms for staff and students.

What’s next: Staff will move into new classrooms at the end of the month. Work continues on first floor classrooms, main entrance, library and performing arts center.

CK High & CK Middle

Status:  In CK Middle, crews are painting, installing ceiling tile and finishing infrastructure for the kitchen.  In CK High, framing is complete, drywall is going up in the third floor and infrastructure installation is underway. Synthetic turf was installed on Huey Field.

What’s next: Crews will paint the tracks around the fields. Interior work continues.
